We ran another playtest demo of Hatchball at the networking lunch today, this time with some new hatchlings making their debut in the game! In August the hatchlings will be away for a summer vacation, but in September they’re sure to join the party again.
Today we had a first for Hatchball: we tested the game on a physical table! The table, also manufactured by Virtual Play, has the layout and controls of a traditional pinball table, but is displayed on a built-in screen. We’ve done these playtests as usual at the Dutch Game garden networking lunch. We got a lot of positive feedback, and we’ll be developing Hatchball more in the coming period.
One of the entertainment games we’re working on at the moment is Hatchball: a pinball game with eggs. Guide these toward their nest and hatch cute Hatchlings. This year Virtual Play was showcasing at Indigo again – the biggest yearly event for indie games, organized by Dutch Game Garden. Our demo of Soccer Nations Battle was well received. A big thank you to all participants for all the effort and enthusiasm!
